YWCA Mohawk Valley reveals 2022 list of ‘outstanding women’

UTICA — The YWCA Mohawk Valley announced its honorees for the organization’s annual Salute to Women. The event, a decades-long tradition at the YWCA MV, honors eight local women for their achievements and accomplishments as well as their impact on the community. The 2022 honorees are:

Danielle Padula, executive director at Broadway Utica, business and industry category sponsored by Total Solutions;

Natasha Homa, of the New Hartford Central School District, education category sponsored by Kristin’s Fund;

Julie Webster, owner of The Mustard Seed in Herkimer, entrepreneur category sponsored by Adirondack Bank;

Amy Jennings, of Oneida Health, healthcare category sponsored by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield;

Marianne Buttenschon, New York State Assembly, human and public service category sponsored by Scalzo, Zogby & Wittig, Inc.,;

Sophia O’Neill, outstanding youth category sponsored by Adorino Construction, Inc.;

Oneka Roach-Campbell, attorney, social justice category sponsored by the Fort Schuyler Club; and

Dawn Roller, associate vice president of human resources, STEAM category sponsored by Indium Corporation.

Salute honorees are nominated by the community and selected by a panel of independent judges, according to the YWCA MV announcement.

The YWCA’s 33rd annual Salute to Outstanding Women awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 21, at Hart’s Hill Inn, 135 Clinton St., Whitesboro. Tickets are $55 and can be purchased by emailing events@ywcamv.org, calling 315-732-2159, ext. 235, or going online to www.ywcamv.org.org/Salute.

The Salute to Outstanding Women serves as the YWCA MV’s largest annual fundraiser. All proceeds directly benefit the agency’s domestic and sexual violence crisis services.
