Youngster charged in phone threat at Camden High School
CAMDEN — A juvenile was charged in connection with a phone threat that was made to Camden High School Tuesday morning.
Sheriff’s deputies said a threat was received by the high school at 9:15 a.m. School administration immediately notified the Special Patrol Officer at the scene, and a sheriff’s office response was initiated.
Deputies said the building was cleared and deemed safe a time later.
The sheriff’s office determined that the threat was not credible and that there were no means of carrying out the threat.
A juvenile who was identified as making the threat was taken into custody and referred to Oneida County Family Court. Due to their young age, the suspect will not be identified.
