Young child stabbed in arm by other young child
CLAYVILLE — One child was hospitalized after he was stabbed in the arm with a kitchen knife by another young child on Friday, according to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities said two children, whose identities were not released due to their young ages, were in a dispute at a residence on Main Street in Clayville shortly after 1 p.m. on Friday. The two children were related to one another, and they were not home alone, authorities noted.
One of the children took a kitchen knife and stabbed the other child in the arm, authorities stated.
The injured child was rushed to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica with a non-life threatening injury, deputies said.
The incident remains under investigation and further action will be handled by Oneida County Juvenile Probation. Child Protective Services was also notified.
