A 26-year-old woman has been charged after law enforcement officials said she acted erratically during a custody exchange and kicked her ex-boyfriend.
Police said the ex went to the South James Street home of Kaitlin N. Come at about 5:42 p.m. Sunday to pick up the 7-year-old child they have in common. Police said the child got into the truck and her car seat on her own, at which point Come also climbed into the truck.
Police said Come sat in her daughter’s lap, then crawled around to various other places inside the truck. The ex got help in removing Come from the vehicle, then police said she got back in and refused to get out.
Police said Come punched her ex in the arm and kicked him between the legs.
Come is charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child, police stated. She is scheduled to appear in City Court. Authorities said additional charges are pending.
