Woman accused of trying to purloin steaks, taco sauce from grocery store

A 62-year-old woman is accused of stealing steaks from Tops supermarket on Erie Boulevard West, according to local law enforcement officials.

Police said Kelly E. Vandusen, of Lake Street, Blossvale, stole three packages of steaks and a bottle of taco sauce by hiding them in her purse at about 1 p.m. Monday.

Police said Vandusen tried to walk out of Tops without paying and she was stopped by loss prevention personnel.

Vandusen is charged with one count of petty larceny, police said.

She was released on an appearance ticket for City Court for May 3, the local law enforcers added.
