WHITESTOWN — On Wednesday, July 20, a public hearing is scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. during the Whitestown Town Board meeting at Town Hall, 8539 Clark Mills Road.

All Whitestown residents are encouraged to attend, a town announcement said, as the Town Board is looking for public comments on the proposed adoption of a local law which would establish a new chapter in the town code: “Solar Energy Law.”

This chapter would include regulations regarding solar energy installations within the town, according to the announcement on the public hearing.

A copy of the local law is on file in the office of the Whitestown Town Clerk. The document is available for public inspection during the office’s regular hours, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The environmental significance of the proposed local law and the regulations will be reviewed by the board as part of the public hearing, the announcement said.
