Westmoreland Masons to hold Election Day Chicken BBQ to raise money for suicide prevention

WESTMORELAND — Westmoreland’s Clinton-Hampton Masonic Lodge, located on the Westmoreland Village Green at 7277 W. Main St., will hold a chicken BBQ fundraiser on Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 3-6 p.m.

The money raised will be donated to the Westmoreland school district to fund suicide prevention programs. 

For $13 people will get a half-chicken, and $10 for a quarter chicken, salt potatoes, coleslaw, baked beans, bun, and dessert. 

“We wanted to do something to help kids and give back to the community,” organizer Scott Tarkowski said. “This will help fund a school program where students who need support can take part in activities and receive counseling.”

Tarkowski added that it was part of the Masons mission to support humanitarian efforts such as this
