Volunteers sought for Read Around the Clock in Clinton

CLINTON — Kirkland Town Library, 55 1/2 College St., will host its fifth annual 24-hour reading marathon, Read Around the Clock, from Wednesday, Aug. 31, to Thursday, Sept. 1.

This year readers will be reading at the gazebo in the Village Green starting at 7 p.m. Aug. 31, and end at 7 p.m. Sept. 1.

The theme this year is Short Stories. Read Around the Clock is structured so that each hour is dedicated to a different author. There are several hours set aside for a mix of authors and two hours just for children.

  • 7 p.m. Wear your pajamas and enjoy bedtime stories and snacks for all ages.
  • 8 p.m. Variety of stories by an array of authors.
