Vehicle found after Rome hit and run incident, police say
ROME — A suspect vehicle believed to be involved in a Wednesday hit and run incident on Black River Boulevard has been located, according to Rome Police.
The investigation remains ongoing as to who was behind the wheel, police said.
According to department spokesperson Lt. Sharon Rood, the silver SUV that struck a pedestrian in the 1600 block of Black River Boulevard at 12:07 p.m. Wednesday was located Thursday morning in the 800 block of W. Liberty Street.
Police secured the vehicle, and said the investigation is ongoing as to who owns the vehicle and who was driving on Wednesday.
More information is expected to be released later today.
The adult male victim suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries, police said. His treatment remains ongoing.
