UTICA — A Utica man is accused of participating in a drive-by shooting on Kemble Street in November, according to the Utica Police Department.

Police said Jacquese Woods-Williams, 21, was inside a vehicle that drove through the 1500 block of Kemble Street and opened fire on several people around 1 p.m. Nov. 3. One person was shot in the leg and was treated at a local hospital.

Following an investigation, police said evidence was presented to a grand jury and Woods-Williams was indicted on March 1 on one count each of first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree possession of a weapon.

Woods-Williams was found and taken into custody on South Street on March 2, police said. He is scheduled to appear in Oneida County Court.
