UTICA — The Utica Garden and Flower Show returns to the Utica Public Library, 303 Genesee St., on Friday and Saturday, July 8 -9.

The Flower Show, a judged event, is sponsored by District V of the Federated Garden Clubs of NYS, and will be open from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The tour of local Utica gardens is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Maps for the participating gardens can be picked up at the Utica Public Library on both days.

There will be ikebana master designers, floral designers and garden club members present to answer a variety of gardening/design questions.

The library is accessible and includes a ramped entryway off its Park Avenue parking lot, as well as an elevator and lift.

It is the mission of the Utica Garden Tour and Flower Show to promote the love of gardening and plants by sharing gardens, horticulture and floral design.
