A Utica man was shot and killed on Grant Street Sunday afternoon, according to law enforcement officials.
No arrests have been made so far.
Police said the victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was shot multiple times in the 100 block of Grant St. at about 5 p.m. Police said the victim was in a vehicle, and that vehicle then crashed a short distance away, in the 1600 block of Genesee St.
Officers were dispatched to both a report of shots fired on Grant Street and the accident on Genesee Street. Police said they found the victim in his vehicle and he was rushed to St. Elizabeth Medical Center — where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Police have not yet release any suspect information. Police said the death is being treated as a homicide.
