Undefeated performs Tuesday in Old Forge

OLD FORGE — Old Forge Library’s Music in the Gazebo Series continues at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, with a performance by a young, up-and-coming upstate NY band.

Undefeated is billed as a rock and metal band, but their songs encompass vibes of alternative rock, metal, pop and even classical music.

The band is comprised of siblings Meredith (20), Christian (18) and Lis (15) Dunkel from Lowville. They played their first show on the lawn of the bookstore in Inlet in 2017 (prior to sister Lis replacing the bassist).

Undefeated’s accomplishments include: Winning the 2020 regional Kindred Award for “New Group,” winning Battle of the Bands in Syracuse, and opening for the metal stage headliner at Soulfest. Their five music videos have amassed 20+ thousand views and they were recently featured in an article in Teen Magazine. A Summer 2022 Tour has just been announced, and the siblings will be traveling and performing across the country in August.

The Music in the Gazebo Series will continue every Tuesday throughout the summer at 220 Crosby Blvd. Go online to www.oldforgelibrary.org for a list of scheduled performers. The large lawn area surrounding the library gazebo offers the opportunity to spread out and enjoy this free, family-friendly entertainment. Listeners are asked to bring their own blanket or folding chair. In case of inclement weather, the performance will be held under the big tent on the lawn.

The Friends of the Old Forge Library will offer a used book mart during each concert, if weather permits. Listeners are invited to stop by their booth and load up on used books, dvds, puzzles and more. A free will donation to the organization is appreciated. The friends will also sell their deer reading library tote, a fundraiser for the friends organization.

Funding for this free, public event was generously provided by a sponsorship by Rainbow Zen.
