TOWN OF WARREN — Two people are dead after a double-stabbing in Herkimer County Sunday night, according to law enforcement officials.
State police said they were called to a residence on Route 167 in Warren at about 7:11 p.m. Sunday and found a man and woman both stabbed. Troopers said both were pronounced dead at the scene.
A suspect in the double-stabbing was found in the front yard with a laceration to his neck, troopers said. The suspect was air-lifted to University Hospital in Syracuse, where he underwent emergency surgery, troopers said. He was last listed in stable condition.
The identities of the deceased and the suspect have not yet been released pending notification of next of kin, troopers said. The investigation remains ongoing.
