Turning Stone’s Exit 33 nightlife venues lift vaccination requirements

Posted

Beginning Friday, Feb.18, Turning Stone’s Exit 33 nightlife venues — Tin Rooster, The Gig, Turquoise Tiger and A-Bar — will no longer require guests to provide proof of vaccination for entry.

Oneida Nation Enterprises is pleased to make this update as the decline in case rates within the region represents a significant step toward a return to normalcy, according to a release.

“Last week, Oneida Nation Enterprises announced that it would no longer require guests to wear face masks at any of its properties, including Turning Stone, Point Place Casino and YBR Casino and Sports Book,” a release continues, “Vaccination protocols will remain in effect for all guests attending shows in the Turning Stone Event Center or The Showroom, due to ongoing contractual requirements of the artists who perform in these venues. Guests visiting areas other than the Event Center and The Showroom at Turning Stone are not required to provide proof of vaccination.”

State, local numbers

There were 66 COVID-19-related deaths across New York Monday and the statewide seven-day average infection positivity rate was measured at 2.98% according to information from Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office.

In a daily statement, Hochul said, “As cases and hospitalizations continue to drop, it is critical that New Yorkers continue to maintain their vigilance — this is no time to let up … Please continue using the tools at our disposal that have kept us safe thus far. Get yourself, friends, family, and your children vaccinated, get boosted if you’re eligible, and stay home if you’re not feeling well.”

On Tuesday, there were 23 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Madison County, bringing the active positive case count to 51. Of the active cases, there were two people hospitalized.
