Troopers seek suspect in Lewis County shoplifting

TOWN OF DENMARK — A white male is wanted for the theft of two battery packs from the Tractor Supply store in Lewis County.

State police said the suspect entered the store on Route 26 in Denmark at about 9:10 a.m. Aug. 19 and placed two Makita 18V 3AH Battery Two Packs in his coat. Troopers said the suspect then left the store without paying.

The thief is described as an adult white male with a medium build. He was wearing a gray T-shirt and blue shorts, with a green and black rain jacket. The suspect also wore gray shoes and a blue and white baseball cap, along with a white and black facemask.

Troopers said the suspect left the scene in a white car with gold-colored New York State license plates.

Anyone with information on the theft or who recognizes the suspect is asked to call state police at 315-366-6000.
