ONEONTA — Three area residents are among a total of 36 students in courses taught by Sheena Mason, assistant professor of English, to have their artwork exhibited in SUNY Oneonta Project Space Gallery.

The local scholars: Claire Eady, of Utica; Abigail Hallenbeck, of Rome; and Arianna Williams, of Rome, had their final projects from courses outside of the Art Department selected to be shown in the exhibit “Art Across Campus: Literature in Translation.”

The exhibition will run through Saturday, Feb. 18, according to the college announcement.

“Art Across Campus: Literature in Translation” features painting, drawing, sculpture, black-out poetry and collage art styles.

The contributing students are part of the Postcolonial Literature and Culture: The Americas, Creolization in Literature, African American Women Writers and Postcolonial and Culture: Africa courses.

The Project Space Gallery is free and open to the public from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
