Three displaced after camper burns in Verona
VERONA — Three people are receiving assistance after their camper burned down on Townline Road in Verona Friday afternoon, according to the Verona Fire Department and the American Red Cross.
First Assistant Fire Chief Brian Sweatman said the alarm was raised at 4:45 p.m. Friday for a camper on fire at an RV park on Townline Road in Verona. The 30-foot, tow behind camper was "fully involved" on arrival, Sweatman said, with no one home.
Firefighters doused the camper and knocked down the flames in about 10 minutes, the chief said. No one was injured.
The American Red Cross said they are assisting three displaced residents of the camper with food, shelter and clothing.
