Syracuse QB Shrader to miss spring practice
SYRACUSE — Syracuse quarterback Garrett Shrader underwent surgery for an injury to his right arm that will cause him to miss spring practice, the school announced Monday.
“I’m disappointed to miss the rest of the spring, but looking forward to rehabbing and getting ready for this upcoming season,” Shrader said.
Last season he threw for 2,640 yards and 17 touchdowns with seven interceptions. He also ran 149 times for 453 yards and nine TDs. He led Syracuse to a 7-6 record and its first bowl berth since 2018.
Syracuse will begin spring practice on March 21. The team’s spring game is 7 p.m. on Friday, April 21. It will air on ACC Network Extra.
