UTICA — A man is being sought by police after one man was shot in the leg at the corner of James Street and Dudley Avenue Thursday morning, according to the Utica Police Department.

Police said one man was shot in the leg in the Cornhlil district at about 10:10 a.m. on Thursday. The victim was rushed to a Utica hospital, where his injuries were determined to not be life-threatening.

The shooting had begun with an altercation between the victim and a suspect. Police said the suspect is a Black male with a medium build. He was wearing a black winter coat with the hood up, a black ski mask and dark-colored pants and shoes.
