SUNY Poly has hired Paul Ludden as head baseball coach for the Wildcats. Ludden comes to SUNY Poly from Cazenovia College where he was the head baseball coach for three seasons.

SUNY Poly tabs Ludden as baseball coach
MARCY — SUNY Poly has hired Paul Ludden as head baseball coach for the Wildcats.
Ludden comes to SUNY Poly from Cazenovia College where he was the head baseball coach for three seasons. In his role at SUNY Poly, he will also serve as the assistant for sports communications.
Ludden started coaching at SUNY Brockport as an assistant coach working specifically with catchers and hitters. After his time at Brockport, Ludden was hired as the head assistant coach for Onondaga Community College. From 2018-2020, he coached third base, developed practice plans and assisted in recruiting. In 2020, Ludden got his first collegiate head coaching opportunity at Cazenovia College. In his first year as head coach, he helped the Wildcats double their win total from the previous season.
This summer, Ludden took over as the head coach for the Syracuse Spartans in the New York Collegiate Baseball League. He took his team to the Eastern Division Finals for the first time since 2017 after leading them to a second-place finish in their division.
He earned his bachelor’s degree In physical education K-12 at SUNY Brockport. He also has a master’s degree in physical education pedagogy from SUNY Brockport.
