Stolen vehicles under investigation in Rome
ROME — Two separate stolen vehicle complaints in Rome are being investigated, after vehicles were taken from Mike Jr.'s Towing and Rome Health, according to the Rome Police Department.
• At 3 a.m. Sept. 8, a black 2007 Ford F-550 flatbed truck was stolen from Mike Jr.'s Towing on East Dominick Street, police said. A GPS tracker on the truck showed it being driven in Philadelphia, but police said the tracker has since been disabled. The truck has not been recovered.
• Sometime before 4 p.m. Sept. 9, a white Nissan Rogue was stolen from the front entrance of Rome Health on North James Street. The vehicle has the words "Rome Hospital" printed on the doors. The vehicle has also not been recovered.
A male with a slender build with facial hair, wearing a white T-shirt and blue patterned shorts or pants is a suspect in the theft at Rome Health, police said.
Anyone with information on either stolen vehicle is asked to call Rome Police at 315-339-7744 or Mohawk Valley Crime Stoppers at 1-866-730-8477.
