SIGNS OF A WHITE CHRISTMAS? — Snow-laden branches hang over portions of the Village of Remsen on Monday, Dec. 19. While some parts of the region had barely a trace of snow by late Monday afternoon, other locations, primarily on the Tug Hill Plateau in the North Country received well over a foot of the while stuff — forcing the closure of some schools and leading to slippery conditions for both the morning and evening commutes.
