NEW OFFICERS — The Rome Police Department welcomed two new officers this week with a small swearing in ceremony at Rome City Hall. From left: Mayor Jacqueline Izzo, new part-time Police Officer Scott Berger, new full-time Police Officer Aaron Alshaman; and Police Chief David Collins. Berger has 23 years of experience in law enforcement, and Alshaman transferred from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office with three years of experience.
