Sister Nancy Gregg was born in 1941 in Troy, graduating from St. Augustine’s Grammar School and Catholic Central High School. In 1960, she entered the Sisters of the Presentation in Watervliet.

She received a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree at the College of St. Rose in Albany. During her 17 years as a presentation sister she ministered at St. Coleman’s Home as well as teaching in the Albany Diocesan schools.

In 1977, Sr. Nancy transferred to the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and was assigned to Bishop Grimes High School in East Syracuse, where she taught history. After completing her administrative certification, Gregg began eight years of service as an administrator at Rome Catholic High School and Junior High School, following Sr. Mary Salvaterra.

Following her service at Rome Catholic High School, Gregg returned to Syracuse as the associate administrator at Bishop Ludden Junior/Senior High School and later at Bishop Grimes.

After 59 years in the educational ministry, Gregg became the administrative assistant to the Sisters of St. Joseph’s Leadership Team and then as a member of the Leadership Team. In 2014, she served as the administrative assistant at Shaker Pointe at Carondelet, a senior living community sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph.
