Registration for the March Food $en$e program — open to everyone regardless of income — will take place in Rome, Lee, Camden, Holland Patent, and Oneida.

Food $en$e is a discount food program provided by the Central New York Food Bank. Everyone is welcome to participate. There are no income guidelines. The $20.50 per unit cost is payable at the time of registration by cash or food stamps. Multiple units can be purchased. There are also extras which can be purchased with or without the basic unit.

• Those participating in the Town of Lee program can place orders Friday, Feb. 24, from 1 to 3 p.m.; and Saturday, March 4, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Lake Delta Fire Department, 8508 Elmer Hill Road. Orders may be picked up on Friday, March 24, from 1 to 3 p.m. For more information, call 315-271-5548 or 315-358-4150.

• Rome registration will be held at Redeemer Church, 129 N. Washington St., across from City Hall, Friday, Feb. 24, between 1 and 3 p.m. Parking in the City Hall’s lot will be available. Rome participants may also sign up Saturday, March 4, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Lake Delta Fire Department.

• In Camden, sign-ups will be held Feb. 24 at Abundant Life Church. Contact Stephenie at 315-795-9378 for more information.

• The Holland Patent program is hosted by Foothills Rural Community Ministry, Presbyterian Church (across from the park just off Route 365). Registration will be held Friday, Feb. 24, from noon to 2 p.m. The food may be picked up between noon and 2 p.m. Friday, March 24. • Karing Kitchen, 116 West Grove St., Oneida, is accepting orders by appointment only — call 315-280-0869.

The March package includes pork tenderloin, chicken drumsticks, tilapia fillets, ground turkey, apple chicken sausage, stuffed rigatoni, frozen carrots, mixed veggies, elbow macaroni, mandarin oranges, and two fresh produce items.

March specials

Specials, which may be purchased in addition to the package or separately, are:

  • Spiral ham, 9 lbs. (avg.) for $13.50: average between 8 and 10 pounds per special.
  • Crab rangoons, 11 oz. for $5: can be cooked in the oven or air-fryer.
  • Chicken Alfredo, 24 oz. for $6: a complete meal with penne pasta, vegetables and grilled white meat chicken, with a creamy Alfredo sauce.
  • Stuffed pork chops, 2 lbs. for $8.50: stuffed with apples and cranberries.
  • American cheese, 5 lbs. for $14: not individually wrapped.
  • Chicken wings, 5 lbs. for $9: ready for the air-fryer or oven and are in a resealable bag.
