Shirley Louise Raymer, of Camden, NY, passed away on July 13, 2021, at the Masonic Care Community. She was born in Utica, NY a daughter of Frederick and Louise Nagel Steinhorst. She was employed until 1970 with her father’s family business, Emil Steinhorst & Sons, Inc., Utica, NY. On December 2, 1960, Shirley was united in marriage to William A. Raymer in Trinity Lutheran Church, Utica, NY. In 1972 they moved to Camden after residing in Utica and Cleveland, NY. He passed away in 1992.
Shirley is survived by two nieces, Diane Turner, New Jersey, and Joan George and husband Sam, New Jersey; nephews, Thomas Fancett, Louisiana, Scott Fancett, North Carolina, S.J. Capecelatro his siblings, and wife Susan; grandnieces, Sharon Turner, California and Linda Turner, New Jersey; grandnephew, Eric Lochner, Florida. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three sisters, Dorothy Miller, Peggy Fancett and Marjorie J. Steinhorst; and a niece, Carilyn Lochner.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Agnes Cemetery, Utica, NY, under the direction of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. There will be no calling hours.
