SHERRILL — The Sherrill Garden Club will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, at the Sherrill-Kenwood Free Library, 543 Sherrill Road. The program will include a video presentation from the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County, “Growing Vegetables and Small Fruits.” The video is narrated by Rosanne Loparco, Master Gardener, and includes information and illustrations about growing your own food by using raised beds, container gardens, square foot beds, designing your garden, when to plant, and other gardening information.

The business meeting will follow the presentation and the club’s Spring Banquet and District 5 Meeting and Luncheon will be discussed. Hostesses Shirley Kristan and Eleanor Cmaylo will provide refreshments and a seasonal table decoration.

Membership dues of $18 need to be paid at this meeting before the new calendar year begins April 1. Anyone with an interest in planting their own vegetables this spring is invited to attend this meeting and learn more about the Sherrill Garden Club, according to the announcement.
