Sex offender charged with failing to update address
UTICA — A registered Level 2 sex offender has been charged with failing to let the state know that he had moved, according to the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.
Investigators said Quinton Faison, 35, of Utica, was found to be living at a residence in Utica without notifying the state Department of Criminal Justice Services that he had moved from his registered residence in Whitestown.
Investigators said Faison was taken into custody on Wednesday on one count of failure to register a change of address, a class E felony. He is scheduled to appear in court.
According to state records, Faison was convicted of third-degree sex abuse in June 2016 and he was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
