Rome woman accused of stealing $30K in surveying equipment
ROME — A 54-year-old woman is accused of stealing $30,000 worth of surveying equipment in Rome, according to the Rome Police Department.
Police said Tracy M. Bean, of Rome, loaded $30,000 worth of surveying equipment into a truck along the 100 block of Bouck Street around 8:30 a.m. on March 16. Police said the victim saw the theft in progress and immediately called 911.
Officers responded to the scene and were able to locate the truck a short time later. The equipment was recovered soon after.
Bean is charged with one count of felony third-degree grand larceny, police said. She is scheduled to appear in Rome City Court.
