Rome Rotary, Elks Club and RACC join together to host Family Fun Day

Rome Art & Community Center, 308 W. Bloomfield St., is joining Rome Rotary Club and Rome Elks Lodge in presenting Family Fun Day to chase away the summertime stay-at-home blues from 9-11 a.m. Friday.

Rain date is the same time Saturday, Aug. 29.

The event is to create a fun learning experience for children in celebration of summer.

Children ages 4-8 are invited to participate, along with older siblings encouraging and supporting them through the activities.

The art center is able to host up to 72 families. In order to participate, families will need to register for this event by calling 315-336-1040. Leave a message stating that you are calling for Family Fun day, with your name and phone number.

Your phone call will be returned and you will be given a start time, according to the announcement by event organizers.

The RACC will stagger participation times throughout the morning to maximize participation, while meeting Phase 4 COVID requirements.

There are six activity challenges for children ages 4-8 to participate in.  At the end of each activity, stickers will be awarded.

Upon completion of all the activity challenges, children will turn in their sticker card for a book of their choice.

From the book station, families will be able to round out their fun day at the ice cream station. All family members are welcome to have ice cream at the end of the activities.

The event will be held at the art center. Participants should arrive promptly at their registered time slot and sign in.

Families will move through the activities in one direction. In order to accommodate everyone, art center staff will ask participants to leave the premises upon completion of all the activities.
