The Rome Hospital Foundation’s Board of Directors has appointed Chester DiBari III as the agency’s new executive director.
“This is an exciting time to join the Rome Hospital Foundation,” DiBari said. “I thank the Board of Directors for their trust in me to lead this organization. As a native Roman, I am thrilled for the opportunity to work in our community and build and expand on relationships established by this office.”
DiBari served for nearly two years as the director of development for Mohawk Valley Health System’s Foundation.
“Chet will be a huge asset to our Foundation, and I look forward to the new energy and vision he will bring to this role,” said Foundation Board of Trustees President Brian Miller. “His longstanding connection from childhood with this hospital will serve him well at the Foundation.”
DiBari’s career spanned over 10 years in various public affairs and advocacy positions in Washington, D.C.
“We are happy to welcome Chet aboard the Rome Hospital Foundation,” said Rome Memorial Hospital CEO Mark Murphy. “His background in communications and experience in philanthropy make him an excellent match for this role. Chet will also maintain an office inside the hospital and has already hit the ground running to connect with the team to learn about our healthcare capabilities.”
DiBari graduated from Hobart College with a degree in political science. Chet returned to Rome in 2018 with his wife, Emily, and two children, Chet IV and Ford.
