The Rome Branch of the NAACP, through its Religious Affairs Committee, will host a virtual religious Town Hall on Aug. 25 at 7 p.m., according to an NAACP announcement.
“Love Thy Neighbor” will be a religious service by a panelist of faith leaders from
the community, the announcment said.
They will focus on topics including “Let it be Love,” “What is Love,” and “Love Thy Self,” bringing a message of faith, hope and love, noted the announcement. It added “as we continue through these difficult times it’s important that we love ourselves, so we may
give to others....Coming together through faith and love.”
Among faith leaders on the event panel: Bishop Kathy Hughes, Deliverance First
Ministries; Pastor Letta Palmer, Rome First Baptist Church; Pastor Jamina Lilley
Tabernacle of Deliverance in Christ CLG, INC.; Pastor Brian Lothridge, Rome First
and Delta United Methodist churches; Pastor Tommy Jackson, Mount Calvary Baptist
Church; Pastor James Richardson Sr., Kingdom Harvest Apostolic Church.
“The public is invited to join along with other faith leaders as we continue to heal
through faith,” the announcement said.
