Five local athletes earned two spots each on the Tri-Valley League girls indoor track and field all-star first team.

In the Colonial Division, Rome Free Academy’s Imani Pugh was a first team selection for the 55-meter hurdles and high jump.

New Hartford’s Grace Serafin was also given first team honors in the Colonial in two events — the 300- and 600-meter races.

RFA’s Marlo Townsend is on the first team for the 1,000, Katherine DeHimer for the pole vault, Maylasia Thomas in the shot put and Jaylene Decker for the weight throw.

Alexandria French was the other Spartan named to the first team, in the 3,000.

Whitesboro’s Elise Leuthauser is first team for the 55-meter dash and teammate Mackenzie Kubat was chosen for the long jump.

Two athletes from Thomas R. Proctor High School were also named to the first team — Megan Lew in the 1,500 and Kimani Thomas in the triple jump.

Two Proctor relay teams were chosen as well as one from RFA.

Proctor’s 800 relay team of Jasmine Gonzalez-Rivera, Rijanna Judah, Thomas and Omarianna Thompson was selected as was the 1,600 relay team of Gonzalez-Rivera, Judah, Lew and Keelyn Simpson.

The RFA 3,200 relay team of Julissa Luciano, Kayleanna VanDeusen, Townsend and Gianna Bardolato was also named first team.

In the Pioneer Division, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill’s Lacey Simmons was named first team for the 600 and 1,000. Teammate Maddie Jones was named first team in the 55 hurdles and high jump.

Molly Myatt of Oneida also earned first team twice, in the 1,500 and 3,000.

Others from VVS on the first team are Grace Croft in the 55-meter dash, Mandy Chen in the long jump, Camryn Shea in the triple jump and Grace Dam in the weight throw.

Oneida’s Elaina Cook is first team for the shot put.

Central Valley Academy first team selections are Morgan Szeflinski in the 300 and Isabella White in the pole vault.

VVS relay teams were chosen for all three first team spots. The 800 team is Croft, Alexis Kinney, Simmons and Dam. The 1,600 team is Grace and Eva Croft, Kinney and Simmons. The 3,200 team is Leah Maguire, Simmons, Natalie Hurd and Eva Croft.

The Colonial Division second team for individual events is: Whitesboro’s Mackenzie Kubat in the 55 hurdles, Emma Fasolo in the long jump and Olivia Komacek in the pole vault; Proctor’s Omarianna Thompson in the 55 and 300, Jasmine Gonzalez-Rivera in the 600, Megan Lew in the 1,000 and 1,500, and Dianndra Frazier in the pole vault; and RFA’s Marlo Townsend in the 3,000, Jaleea Garner in the triple jump, Katherine DeHimer in the high jump, Jaylene Decker in the shot put and Maylasia Thomas in the weight throw.

The relay teams selected to the second team are Whitesboro’s 800 group of Izabella Phillips, Elise Leuthauser, Haley Cornine and Sophia Celia; RFA’s 1,600 group of Julissa Luciano, Simone Williams, Shavaia Parry and Gianna Badolato; and Proctor’s 3,200 group of Megan Lew, Julissa Daniels, Keelyn Simpson and Jasmine Gonzalez-Rivera.

The Pioneer Division second team for individual events is: CVA’s Morgan Szeflinski in the 600, Marcella Pronti in the 1,000, Kiera Wilbur in the high jump and shot put and Grace Scanlon in the pole vault; Camden’s Ivy Murphy in the 1,500 and 3,000; and VVS’ Cora Wheeler in the 55 hurdles and 55-meter dash, Grace Croft in the 300, Alexis Kinney in the long jump, Mandy Chen in the triple jump and Emma Dam in the weight throw.

The relay teams selected to the second team are all from CVA: the 800 group of Mallory Mowers, Marianna Ferdula, Lauren Johnson and Amya Desroches; the 1,600 group of Mower, Isabella Kleban, Katelyn Kane and Szeflinski; and the 3,200 group of Pronti, Kleban, Isabella White and Krista Panko.

The honorable mentions are Camden’s Nick Summer on the weight throw, CVA’s Elena Glover in the long jump and CVA’s Arionna Day in the 1,000.
