Prospect library to present concert, stargazing
PROSPECT — The Prospect Library and the town of Trenton present Rattlin’ Bog in concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, at Prospect Union Park, directly across from the library at 116 Upper State St.
The band’s sets include a capella sea shanties, traditional Appalachian folk songs, as well as old time gospel and story songs.
Hot dogs and a beverage will be available to purchase.
Visitors are invited to join The Mohawk Valley Astronomical Society for stargazing, starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, at the town of Trenton Park upper pavilion. Faith Thompson will present a program, “The Magnetic Universe.”
The program will be followed by laser guided tours of the sky and stargazing, weather permitting.
Each event is free to the public.
