Prospect Library to hold open house

PROSPECT — The Prospect Free Library will hold a ribbon cutting and open house at its new location, 116 Upper State St., in the hamlet.

The library board and staff will cut the ribbon and welcome guests at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 13. Tours and light refreshments will be available.

The public is encouraged to attend, organizers said, to see how an old firehouse has been transformed into a welcoming library.

The library board and staff will hold a sale —including items such as furniture and books — at the former library, 915 Trenton Falls St., on Saturday, June 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
