Police say more than $1,000 worth of material stole from Lowe's in Rome
ROME — A Utica man is accused of stealing more than $1,000 worth of lumber and other materials from the Lowe's store in Rome, according to the Rome Police Department.
Police said Deryck R. Barker, 44, stole lumber, doors and chemicals, worth a total of $1,256, from the Lowe's on Rome-Taberg Road around 3:45 p.m. on Jan. 11. Police said Barker was identified and taken into custody following an investigation on March 2.
Barker is charged with one count of felony fourth-degree grand larceny, police said. He is scheduled to appear in Rome City Court.
