A 29-year-old man is accused of attacking his neighbor’s car on North Crescent Drive in Rome, according to the Rome Police Department.

Police said Anthony D. Gatto was in a dispute with a neighbor at about 12:03 p.m. Aug. 16. Police said the neighbor was in his vehicle, and Gatto attempted to get the door open to get inside. When that did not work, police said Gatto repeatedly kicked the door, causing multiple dents.

The total damage to the vehicle was $2,800, authorities stated. The evidence was passed along to Rome City Court and a summons was issued for Gatto. He answered the summons on Wednesday. Gatto is charged with one count of second-degree mischief, a class D felony, police stated. He is scheduled to reappear in Rome City Court.
