A Rome man was found with a quantity of cocaine following both a domestic dispute and a foot pursuit, according to law enforcement officials.
Police said Devon S. McNatt, 31, was involved in a domestic dispute in the 100 block of E. Embargo St. at about 8:12 p.m. Friday. Officers on the scene recognized McNatt as being wanted on an open arrest warrant for a charge of felony first-degree contempt.
Police said McNatt fled from the officers and he was taken into custody following a brief pursuit.
Once caught, police said McNatt was found with a baggie containing 3.9 grams of cocaine.
McNatt is charged with one count of felony fourth-degree possession of a controlled substance, along with the contempt warrant, authorities stated. He is scheduled to appear in City Court.
