Holt is 1-year-old and was found as a stray. He is friendly and he likes cats and other dogs. To adopt Holt, visit the Herkimer County Humane Society at 514 State Route 5S in Mohawk, or call 315-866-3255.
Bert is a 2-year-old orange and white tiger cat that has been at the shelter for two months. If someone is looking for a very energetic, sweet and sociable guy, he is definitely the one for you. He loves to run around and play and enjoys people very much. It would be better if he were the only cat in a household because he has so much energy there’s no room for anyone else in your life. He’s also quite talkative and can carry on a conversation with you. To visit Bert, stop by the Humane Society of Rome, 6247 Lamphear Road, call 315-336-7070 or go to www.humanesocietyrome.com.
Bruno is a laid back guy who really wants a place to call his own. He was brought to the shelter in February after being hit by a car. He is now healed and searching for his forever family. He enjoys walks on the beach, lounging on the couch while you watch a movie and curling up in his own bed at the end of the day. To meet Bruno, stop by Wanderers’ Rest Humane Association, 7138 Sutherland Drive, Canastota, or give them a call at 315-697-2796.
This pretty girl — Patty — came to the shelter after a house fire and has been there for almost 9 months. She is a sweet 5-year-old cat. She is no bother to anyone, she is usually just napping in the sun. Patty does fine living in a group room with many other cats. Patty is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. She also had dental work done. Her adoption fee is $80. Apply here to adopt: www.anitas-sshs.org/adopt/apply/Cat. Anita’s Stevens-Swan Humane Society, 5664 Horatio St., Utica, 315-738-4357, www.anitas-sshs.org.
