The Connected Community Team will welcome the start of a new school year with a community “Pack Your Pantry Resource Fair,” which will be open to all, according to an announcement by the organization. The event will take place outside, in the side parking lot, at Staley Elementary School, 620 E. Bloomfield St. on Tuesday, Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own reusable bags and wear a mask.
“With school right around the corner and a team of new site coordinators, the Connected Community Schools initiative wanted to pull the crew together for a community-wide event,” organizers said.
At the Pack Your Pantry Resource Fair, attendees can expect the following:
An opportunity to come and “pack their pantry” with items from the Connected Community Schools food pantry and resource hub;
Plenty of resources and services for families to meet, explore, and connect with on the spot;
An opportunity to get together and serve the community!
