One man was shot in the leg during a drive-by shooting on Kemble Street in Utica at about 1 p.m. Thursday, according to the Utica Police Department. No arrests have been made so far.

UTICA — One man was shot in the leg during a drive-by shooting on Kemble Street in Utica at about 1 p.m. Thursday, according to the Utica Police Department.

No arrests have been made so far.

Police said several people inside a vehicle drove through the 1500 block of Kemble St. at about 3 p.m. and opened fire on a group of people standing in a driveway. No one initially came forward as being injured, police said, then a man walked into St. Elizabeth Medical Center about an hour later with a gunshot wound to the back of one leg.

His injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

A search of the scene found over 15 spent shell casings, police stated.
