LITTE FALLS — On Sept. 20, up to 100 local nonprofit organizations will be raising money to support local efforts, including 8 to 10 arts organizations. Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts (MVCA) is one of the nonprofits represented.

The goals are to increase awareness of the event and its goals, acquire new donors for MVCA and to raise money locally.

The Day of Giving is for all to consider. Any amount of money is gratefully accepted. It will help support the workshops and courses, performing arts, exhibits and receptions that the MVCA provides over the year, according to the announcement by MVCA officials. 

Adding to the excitement is the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the MVCA. It has been supported by its members, donors and the community.

In turn, it has offered classes, workshops, live performances, and exhibitions by local and regional artists.
