UTICA - Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon, D-119, Marcy, seeks nominations for the 2022 Women of Distinction Awards which recognize and honor local women who are making a difference in the community and the lives of others in spite of the unprecedented challenges facing the state and nation.

Awards will be given for work in various fields, including health care, business, volunteer work, education and military service. Winners will be honored at an awards ceremony on April 15, at the State Office Building, 207 Genesee St.

“The Mohawk Valley has been shaped by extraordinary women who never fail to inspire us to do better,” said Buttenschon. “I look forward to again having the honor of celebrating these hometown heroes for the great strides they’ve made professionally or their contributions to our communities during my annual Women of Distinction Awards. I hope you’ll join me by nominating a remarkable woman who’s made an impact in your life.”

The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, March 25. Contact Buttenschon’s office for a nomination form or submit your nomination electronically at https://nyassembly.gov/mem/Marianne-Buttenschon/. Nomination forms can be printed from the website and mailed-in or submitted directly through her Assembly webpage.

For more information about the awards or any other community issue, call Buttenschon’s office at 315-732-1055.
