HERKIMER — Herkimer County Community College has appointed a new campus peace officer, according to an announcement Wednesday by college officials.

Joshua M. Muzzi, of Johnstown, is the new officer, having transferred from working as a peace officer at Saratoga Hospital in Saratoga Springs, the college officials said. Muzzi also previously worked as a public safety officer at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Muzzi is currently enrolled in the Pre-Employment Police Basic Training program at Herkimer College, officials said.
