VERONA — After announcing a series of renovations and new amenities as part of its Best Never Rest campaign, the Turning Stone Resort Casino, 5218 Patrick Road, announced Thursday the creation of a new retail store, Mr. Shop at Turning Stone, with partner Joel Shapiro.

A cornerstone of downtown Syracuse retail for the last three decades, Mr. Shop features men’s formal and business fashion.

The store will be Shapiro’s second location and will feature the men’s fashion, custom tailored suits, business attire, casual wear and accessories.

Mr. Shop at Turning Stone will also offer suit and tuxedo rentals. It will open on Friday, Oct. 1 and feature boutique shopping with national brands such as Eton, Paige, Tommy Bahama and Johnston & Murphy. It will also have a diverse selection of accessories, including watches, belts, ties and jewelry.

Mr. Shop at Turning Stone will be located between two familiar landmarks at the resort – The Parlor and the TS Rewards Desk, in the space currently occupied by Oneida Sky. “We have seen from the success of The Commons that the unique boutique shopping
experience resonates with our guests and the opening of Mr. Shop at Turning Stone will be another welcomed addition to our roster of world-class amenities,” said Oneida Indian Nation Representative and Oneida Nation Enterprises CEO Ray Halbritter. “Joel Shapiro and the Shapiro Family have a legacy of exceptional service and have built a fashion empire over the last 50 years that is among the most respected businesses in our region.”

“Opening Mr. Shop in a world-renowned destination resort like Turning Stone will introduce our collection of menswear to millions of guests who visit from all around the country,” said Shapiro. Recent investments at the resort include an all-new Showroom, renovations to popular event spaces such as the Shenendoah Clubhouse and introducing new venues including an all-new Lodge Lounge bar and Lodge Boardroom, the Turning Stone announcement added.
