NAACP branches to host candidates forum

The Utica/Oneida County and Rome NAACP branches are teaming together to hold a Meet the Candidates Virtual Forum at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12.

Participating will be Anthony Brindisi and Daniel Fogel, along with Jason Flemma and Karen Stanislaus.

The format will consist of a self introduction from the candidates followed by questions and discussion.

The judicial candidates will be asked relevant questions and cannot make any promises or speak about any specific cases. The National Association does not endorse any candidates.

This is a opportunity for the public to meet virtually those running for Oneida County Family Court Judge.

NAACP moderators will be Jacqueline Hawkins, 2nd vice-president of the Rome Branch NAACP, and Joseph Johnson, assistant treasurer, along with Oneka Roach-Campbell, members of the Utica/Oneidas County branch.

Others participating will be Presidents Jacqueline Nelson of the Rome Branch and the Rev. Sharon Baugh of the Utica Branch.

For more information, can contact the NAACP at 315-271-7703. The event will also be available on Facebook Live. Participants may log onto the forum at 6:15 p.m.
