Dr. Robert Madlinger has joined the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) Surgical Group, where he will serve as the chief of Trauma, Acute Care and Surgical Critical Care, as well as program director for General Surgery.
Dr. Madlinger joins MVHS from St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, Paterson, N.J., where he was chief of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care as well as director of Advanced Trauma Life Support. Commander of the 1st Forward Resuscitative Surgical Team, Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn, a detachment of Utica’s 865th Combat Support Hospital. He has served three tours in Afghanistan.
Dr. Madlinger received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience in Kansas City, Missouri. He performed his internship and residency in General Surgery at St. Barnabus Hospital in Bronx. He also received fellowship training in Trauma and Critical Care from Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx.
Dr. Madlinger is board certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Surgery in both Surgical Critical Care and General Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgery and the American College of Surgeons.
Madlinger is part of the MVHS Surgical Group, 1676 Sunset Ave., Utica, and has privileges at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare and St. Elizabeth Medical Center. He is accepting new patients and can be reached at 315-624-8110.
