MVCC to host career exploration event in Utica
UTICA — Mohawk Valley Community College’s Career Development Center is hosting an Exploring Careers in the Mohawk Valley event from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, in the Robert R. Jorgensen Center Fieldhouse on the Utica campus, 1101 Sherman Drive.
The event is open to high school students, their families and others in the community seeking a career change. Attendees will be able to talk with local industry leaders and MVCC faculty to learn about the variety of lucrative and stable careers available right here in the Mohawk Valley and what you can do to get started.
Employers from a variety of industries will be on hand, including Mohawk Valley Health System; Rome Health; Utica police and fire departments; Helio; Oneida County Civil Service; Townsquare Media; Sentinel Media Company; Utica National; Gilroy, Kernan & Gilroy; Indium Corp.; Wolfspeed; Giotto Enterprises and Semicron Danfoss.
