UTICA — Mohawk Valley Community College will host an Athletic Open House and Preview Day on Sunday, Dec. 11, at its Utica campus.

It is an opportunity for prospective student-athletes and their families to learn what MVCC has to offer on the field and in the classroom.

The event will begin with check-in at 10:30 a.m. in the Jorgensen Athletic/Event Center Field House. The program will begin at 11 with a welcome and overview of MVCC’s athletics program. Registration is required. To sign up, visit https://admissions.mvcc.edu/register/aoh22.

MVCC offers eight sports for men (baseball, basketball, bowling, cross country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, and track and field) and nine for women (basketball, bowling, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field and volleyball).

According to a news release, the event also will include an admissions presentation, campus tours, and a meet-and-greet with coaches. Pizza will be served for lunch, and attendees are invited to stay for MVCC’s basketball doubleheader that begins at 1 p.m.
